Hiya lads,
So this season is over! We’ve made *huge* progress on the campsite itself – as the pics below will show. First there was a group of folks from the UK who flew in for a week:
Since we bought 10 tents that will stay at Le Moulin for/when people don’t have one, this is what the river bed by the stream looked like when the lads above were here:
And the MAJOR achievement this year was to complete the field kitchen – woohoo! Yes it is done, completed, fully furbished and ready to host rockin’ parties of people telling tales by the fire/oil lamps/kitchen sink/american fridge – as you see. This is what it looks like from the outside:
And this is the look from the inside – that’s a day shot when everybody was out in the wilderness, but you can certainly imagine the place can accommodate many friendly people:
So again, if you are looking for a warm and welcoming place to spend time in the OUTDOORS, then do reach out! Now we have a good sense of the seasons here in the foothills of the Pyrénnées and we’ll be ready to have people pitch their tents by May 2015. Hope to see you next year!
(And, as a bonus to help go through the long months of winter: we thought it might be cool to have a ping-pong table hanging around the field kitchen next year. What do y’all think?)
Take care,
